Book Blogger TMI Tag

I was a bad book blogger last week. I didn’t read anything to review for you guys. I haven’t done a book tag in a while, so I thought I would do this one I saw this one on Dee Reads Things.

How old are you?

What book are you reading?
I have reading ADD at the moment. I’ve read about 14 pages of Travelers’ Tales Thailand: True Stories. I think I’m just not in the mood for it right now though, so I may put it away for a while. I also started Knitting Yarns: Writers on Knitting, which is my other hobby besides reading. I haven’t touched So We Read On: How The Great Gatsby Came to by and Why It Endures since March and I’m not sure I’ll finish it. I’m not usually into that type of nonfiction.

What are you wearing?
Jeans and a teal Under-Armor t-shirt.

Favourite OTP?
Not gonna’ lie, I had to go to urban dictionary to learn that OTP means One True Pairing. This is a hard one because I’m not usually all that interested in fictional characters’ love lives. Definitely not Ron and Hermione. She deserves better. I’m going to resort to TV for this one and say Rose and the Tenth Doctor.

Blogger or WordPress?
Wordpress by far.

Going outside and being active or staying inside and reading a book?
This depends on my mood and the weather honestly. Oh, and how bad my ADD is. Sometimes I just need to go frolic with the butterflies.

What is the last book you read?
Rat Queens, Volume 3. How did I not discover this series earlier?! An all female group consisting of an elven mage, dwarven fighter, human cleric, and smidgen hippy thief go on epic adventures together. I highly recommend this series.

What is the book that you’re going to read next?
Hard to say. I’m going to have to find something I’m in the mood for soon.

Ebooks, yes or no?
I don’t hate them, but I much prefer a physical book.

Where do you prefer to read?
In my living room chair, my office chair, my camping chair in the yard, or in bed.

Who is the last person you tweeted?
The last person I tweeted was @plentifulpages. She’s another book blogger you should check out.

Whose blog did you look at last?
Dee Reads Things, where I found this tag.

Who is your favourite blogger?
I feel too new to have a favorite blogger in the book blogging world. I’m just in awe of all the successful book bloggers I see and hope to be as successful some day. Other than book bloggers I have to go with PostSecret, which I check religiously.

Who is your favourite booktuber?
I don’t really watch booktube. Youtube videos are way too much of a rabbit hole for me so I try to stay clear.

What do you do when someone tells you reading is boring?
Who are these people that say this?! I’m glad I haven’t met them. I probably wouldn’t care much. I find television painful for the most part, so to each their own really.

Who is the last author you spoke to?
If you count twitter I had a couple tweets back and forth with @PascalePoet who wrote Mama Amazonica, a fantastic book of poetry that mashes the Amazon Jungle with the author’s mother’s mental illness.

Who is the last person you texted?
The husband probably. He’s the only person I text with any consistency.

Who is your all time favourite book character?
Sirius Black. He is also the one fictional character death I may never get over.

I haven’t had much exposure to UK YA since I live in the US and honestly just don’t seek it out, so I have to go with US YA.

What is your preferred drink while reading?
Water, tea or hot chocolate.

If you hated reading, what would you be doing instead?
Knitting, crocheting, and other fiber arts.

How many bookshelves/bookcases do you have?
There are 3 in my house. 2 are mine, packed to the brim, two layers deep. 1 is the husbands. who only needs one layer to fit all his books. I may have taken possession of the top shelf of my husbands…

If you had the choice to meet all of your favourite book bloggers or all of your favourite authors, which would you pick? You can only pick one.
I have to say bloggers. I don’t really follow authors all that closely. I’m the kind of person who (generally) reads a book and enjoys it, then never thinks about it or the author again.

Insta-love. Yes or no?
I’m not usually a fan of cheesy, but if the story has other redeeming qualities, like being funny or a super interesting world, I can be convinced to get over it.

Favourite author?
J.K.Rowling. Like I said I don’t follow authors much, but in addition to, you know, Harry freaking Potter, she is also just a super likable person.

What is the number one book on your wishlist?
I’ve heard great things about Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik recently.

Do you prefer books with female or male protagonists?
Meh. Female, male, hermaphrodite, eunuch, cyborg. I couldn’t care less.

What is your favourite book to film adaptation?
Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which might have to do with the fact that I saw the movie first.

What is the last song you listened to?
Right now I’m playing through my daily oldies mix on Spotify and the current song is I Got You (I Feel Good) by James Brown.

Which do you enjoy reading more – negative reviews or positive reviews?
I like positive reviews, just because I don’t usually seek out reviews on a book to see whether I want to read it or not. Rather, I randomly read reviews to find new things to add to my want to read list.

Who are you going to tag?
I’ll tag, if you haven’t already done this one, Jenny in Neverland, The Orang-utan Librarian, and Life and Other Disasters along with anyone else who wants to participate!

It’s so hard to choose because they all have something really great that they added to the character. I loved the Bad Wolf arc with 9, but I think I have to go with 11, Matt Smith, as a favorite. His doctor had some good episodes and story arcs. What about you? Who is your favorite?

10 is definitely my favourite but I also really love 11! 12 was such a disappointment that I pretty much just forgot to keep watching the show. I’m really excited for 13 though! What do you think her arc will be like?

Yeah I stopped watching after a few episodes of 12. I feel like he was trying too hard? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll tune back in for 13! I heard about the controversy of ‘she’ but I’m excited and think it’s great. I hope they make it so it’s not a confusing spot to jump back in.
