I’m not really sure how this whole tag thing works, but I’ve seen them everywhere and figured I’d try one. I saw this one over at Dear Blog, … Love, Liz and thought it was a fun way to sort of introduce myself to the book blogging universe, so here goes…
Bookmarks or random pieces of paper?
I love cute bookmarks, but I can never find one when I need one. I make do with whatever scrap of paper I can find usually, which is dangerous sometimes. I did lose a debit card in a book for a couple days once.
Stop reading randomly or after a chapter/certain amount of pages?
I like to read an entire chapter at a time, but I can stop randomly if needed.
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Not really. I mostly read on the couch, sometimes in bed or at my office desk. Now that the weather is nicer I’ve been reading outside a bit too.
Do you eat or drink whilst reading?
No! Reading is how I prevent myself from snacking most of the time.
Multitasking: music or TV when reading?
I don’t prefer it, but I am getting better at reading when my significant other has the television on. Music is somehow more distracting than television for me, so that’s a hard no.
One book at a time or several?
I try to keep it to one or two at a time. Any more than that and someone will get neglected and never finished.
Reading at home or everywhere?
I prefer to read at home. Sometimes I can read in the car, sometimes I get a little carsick. try to read other places, but I get too distracted. The one exception is if I am on vacation I’ll read in the hotel room or out by the pool/lake.
Reading out loud or silently?
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I never thought about it. Neither way bothers me, but I like to treat my books nice and would never intentionally break the spine.
Do you write in your books?
I’ve never felt the need to write anything in my books. I’m not even sure what I would write. Now I’m curious, do a lot of people write in their novels as they read them? And if they do, what do they write?
